Louisa May Alcott was told by an editor that she would
never be able to write anything that would have popular appeal. A music teacher
told Enrico Caruso: “You can't sing. You have no voice at all.” And a teacher
warned a boy named Thomas A. Edison that he was too stupid to pursue a
scientific education! Never let anyone shunt you off from the main line of your
aspirations.
